FIRST LOOK. First extended trailer of Revolution, the new upcoming TV drama in which the world loses electricity.

Will M-Net get it? Will TopTV's Top One or perhaps one of the Fox channels grab it? The first extended preview trailer is here of the brand-new upcoming TV drama, Revolution, in which modern civilization loses the ability to use electricity.

Revolution, a new drama executive produced by J.J. Abrams, is set 15 years after the world can suddenly no longer use electricity (due to a terrorist group's invention). As civilization as we knew it has crumbled away (cities reclaimed by forests) after "The Blackout", mankind has adapted through reverting back to a world before we knew electricity.

Revolution looks a bit Terra Nova (family in unusual circumstances, struggling against an "unusual" nature and physical circumstances they're not used to), mixed with a bit of Falling Skies (post apocalyptic future in which what remains of mankind is seen scavenging off of the remnants of what's left of industrialised society which is slowly decaying), with a bit of The Event (there's a group with some nefarious plot which is part of the overall story), Lost (large ensemble cast, each with secrets and subplots) mixed in.
