Sarah Thornton will be based in London and is now the vice president for production and development, Discovery Networks International Lifestyle. She will develop and executive produce shows for TLC International which is seen in South Africa on MultiChoice's DStv and On Digital Media's TopTV.
Jon Sechrist who has been promoted to vice president of production and development at Discovery Networks International and TLC International will also executive produce TV shows for TLC International. He will also work across ID: Investigation Discovery which is also a TV channel seen on both pay-TV platforms in South Africa.
The growth and success of Discovery Networks International's production and development unit thus far can in large part be attributed to the strong efforts and solid programming output from both Jon and Sarah," says Luis Silberwasser, the executive vice president and chief content officer for Discovery Networks International in a press statement.
