You're reading it here first.

As a child of the 80s I will always love the original more (and have the DVD box sets), but I can exclusively break the news and reveal that the new ThunderCats animation show is finally coming to South African viewers with 2 new episodes per weekend from Saturday 9 June on The Cartoon Network (DStv 301) at 09:05 (South African time).

As if episodes of the new ThunderCats have to be shipped from Thundera, its taken Turner in the United Kingdom who runs the channel exactly 9 months to start showing the show for South African viewers - a whole lifetime in kid, puppy, and fanboy years.

There will be 26 episodes in the first season of the new ThunderCats with Lion-O, Tygra, Cheetara, Panthro, WilyKit and WilyKat, SNarf and Mumm-Ra.

The Cartoon Network will show 2 new ThunderCats episodes on weekends - one episode on Saturdays at 09:05 and another new episode on Sundays at 09:05.
