A day after the new Trace Sports (DStv 129) channel finally launches on MultiChoice's DStv - on Wednesday 18 April - Trace Sports plans to broadcast a ''Olympic Games'' themed evening in preparation of the 2012 London Olympic Games which will take place 99 days from 18 April.
Trace Sports launches on DStv on 17 April and on 18 April Trace Sports will have shows about Usain Bolt, Tyson Gay, Michael Phelps, Rebecca Adlington, Jeremy Wariner, Lucie Decosse and South Africa's Oscar Pistorius. Judo, swimming and sprint icons from the world of sport will talk about their exceptional careers and preparations.
During the Olympic Games later this year Trace Sports will have several quirky programmes taking viewers behind the scenes by going backstage before and after specific events.
