MultiChoice's additional new broadband capacity in 20120 to deliver more new TV channels, HD channels and other services are coming with Intelsat that has announced contract extensions in the African direct-to-home (DHM) satellite television market which includes MultiChoice.
Intelsat has three new satellite launched planned for next year which will take its current 22 satellites servicing Africa to 25.
MultiChoice has increased its capacity on Intelsat 904 for contribution services and is in addition to MultiChoice's existing capacity on Intelsat 7, Intelsat's leading satellite for Africa.
