BREAKING. MSNBC to show the documentary Michael Jackson and the Doctor, in which Conrad Murray breaks his silence, on Saturday.

Let me break the news that MSNBC (TopTV 410) has acquired the rights, and that South African viewers will be able to see the brand-new, buzzed-about documentary Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Friendship with dr Conrad Murray on Saturday 12 November at 05:00 (South African time) and again on Monday 14 November at 04:00.

Conrad Murray who was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and who did not take the stand at his trial, breaks his silence in the 50 minute Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Friendship. The documentary is two years in the making and MSNBC grabbed the broadcasting rights first. Conrad Murray signed a deal to have cameras follow him immediately after Michael Jackson's death just over two years ago and continuing throughout his trial.

Conrad Murray reveals personal details of his relationship with Michael Jackson as the pop star's doctor, as well as untold events that led to Michael Jackson's death on 25 May 2009. He is interviewed by the British presenter Steve Hewlett and describes to him his version of the events that night and the bizarre life the singer led. TV channels scrambled yesterday to get the rights to the documentary from Zodiac Rights after the verdict was announced.

South African viewers will be able to see Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Friendship at the same time as the whole world. Besides MSNBC which is a global news channel, the documentary has also been sold to Australia's Nine Network and Channel 4 in Britain, while 10 other international broadcasters are also planning on showing it.
