BREAKING. Controversial Justice Ndaba out at the SABC; controversial Sipho Sithole in as the SABC's new head of strategy.

The controversial Justice Ndaba is quietly gone at the SABC who the SABC suddenly decided to wash their hands from; only to be replaced by the struggling public broadcaster with a new, and as controversial figure in the form of Sipho Sithole.

The controversial Sipho Sithole is to replace Justice Ndaba as the beleaguered broadcaster's head of strategy according to sources, although there is a massive cloud hanging over Sipho Sithole's head. Yet the SABC wants him back.

The SABC asked Sipho Sithole to leave the broadcaster early in 2010. Sipho Sithole then resigned in February 2010, two months before his contract was set to expire in April 2010. Now the SABC wants Sipho Sithole back.

Sipho Sithole has previously been employed as head of strategy at the SABC during the tenure of one of the SABC's previous group CEO, Dali Mpofu who's reign at the SABC was marked by in-fighting within the SABC board, corruption, and the period where the struggling broadcaster lost R1 billion in 2008/2009.

While Sipho Sithole was head of strategy at the SABC he was still listed as a director of Native Rhythm Records which he formed in 2005 - a private interest that would seem to be in conflict with an executive role at the SABC. In 2009 trade unions at the SABC also questioned other payments of millions of rands made to Sipho Sithole.
