America's ''Hi-Def Cowboy'' Bryson Jones is set as speaker for the trade publication Screen Africa's Technology and Production Conference and the Mediatech Africa 2011 trade fair taking place from 20 to 22 July at the Coca-Cola Dome in Northgate, Johannesburg.
Bryson Jones will be talking to South Africa's film and television production industry as well as Ola Melzig. If you've ever wondered what it takes to produce something on the scale of the Eurovision Song Contest or the Commonwealth Games, you can find out - Ola Melzig has been the production manager on these TV productions and will be doing workshops on TV production management. Local South African 3D experts Marius van Straaten, Stefan Nel, Russel Bowden and Shaun de Ponte will look at advances in 3D production.
The Mediatech Africa 2011 trade fair will once again brim with new technology and products in the film, broadcast and production sector - from AV, sound, camera, lighting, staging and rigging to music equipment, system integration, new media and satellite and signal fields.
