SABC2 clears it schedule for this Saturday morning to now broadcast a 6 and a half hour funeral for the late Albertina Sisulu.

A longrunning inside joke is that SABC2 - as relayed to me by a former SABC2 channel head - is that SABC2 is ''the funeral channel''.

SABC2 is the ''funeral home'' and serves as the South African channel whose schedule will be unceremoniously disrupted irrespective of what it does to viewership, prior scheduling or advertiser refunds (advertisers need to get their money back if ads pre-booked are then shown during different programming than what was promised for that day and timeslot).

SABC2 has again amended its schedule for this Saturday morning, 11 June and will now be broadcasting the funeral of the late Albertina Sisulu and veteran of the anti-apartheid movement for a full 6 and a half hours from 07:00 to 13:30. SABC2 has decided to dump a litany of shows ranging from Weekend Live, Takalani Sesami, Against All Odds, Wise Up III and the Muvhango repeat.

Also yanked from the SABC2 schedule this Saturday morning - although these episodes just move on by one week, are DIY met RiaanHouse CallLiving LandFinal Verdict and The Right to Win.
