BREAKING. With a catchy-cool Idols ditty the Brothers Streep will probably need to change their tune as hit song becomes an internet sensation.

The Brothers Streep from Bergvliet who performed an incredibly inventive, funny, creative and hilarious song about Idols on the first episode of the 7th season of Idols (M-Net, Sundays, 17:30) is now a bona fide internet sensation. The Brothers Streep's catchy-cool new song has become an immediate viral internet hit and is drawing instant and unanimous praise.

The hilarious song by the pop culture preppy group takes aim at the reality show and does a delicious send-up of everyone and everything Idols - from Mara Louw and her race comments, Liezel van der Westhuizen, Heinz Winckler, the voting scandal, Gareth Cliff, Randall Abrahams and ProVerb.

A video from the episode featuring The Brothers Streep's performance has been viewed almost 6 000 times in just 3 days on YouTube since Sunday night.

They might need to change their tune however. ''We're never gonna be, SA Idols on TV,'' The Brothers Streep sing in their song that can be dowloaded from their website as well as from the official Idols website. Pop culture commentators will be able to appreciate the sweet irony: SA Idols on TV is exactly what The Brothers Streep have become.
