BREAKING. House renewed for an 8th season in America; two former characters set to return as actors sign new deals.


House [M-Net Series (DStv 110) / The Universal Channel (DStv 108)] has been renewed for an 8th season in America.

"Over the past seven seasons House has redefined the medical drama and has given us one of television's most compelling and iconic characters," says Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly in a press statement. ''From the producers to the incredible writers to the unbelievably talented cast and crew, the House team is fearless in its creativity and I can't wait to see what they have in store next year."

House with Hugh Laurie in the title role is produced by Universal Media Studios and the renewal of the show is a one year deal for one more season. House is incredibly popular s as international show and has already earned the distributor more than $1 billion over its seven season run. Actors Robert Sean Leonard and Omar Epps have both signed new deals to return to the show for the 8th season.
