CNBC Europe which is the sister channel to CNBC Africa (DStv 410) today unveiled its new-look studio in Europe that's part of a major upgrade of CNBC's London studios.
South African viewers will be able to see the new studio for the first today at 17:00 (South African time) during European Closing Bell. The new studio will however feature most prominently in Squawk Box Europe on weekdays between 07:00 and 8:00 on CNBC Africa.
''All of CNBC's Europe's programmes will use multiple areas of the studio, which includes one of the largest video walls in Europe,'' says the business channel. Squawk Box Europe will now feature an ''Overnight Indicator'' that will give viewers a snapshot of key benchmarks showing how the asset classes have faired overnight.
''This is an exciting new element of our programming,'' says John Casey, vice president of international news and programming for CNBC. ''It captures everything in the world that matters to the markets. It will collate US and Asia market data as well as how currencies and commodities are trading.''
