Redi Thlabi is hosting a round table forum discussion tomorrow morning, Wednesday 13 April from 10:00 to 11:30 with actors' unions and South African TV broadcasters about the rights of creative workers at Primedia Place in Sandton.
I'm told that all actors and any stakeholders in the payment and renumeration system of actors are welcome to attend.
The issue of actors' contracts, renumeration, and especially payment regarding residuals and possible future earnings for repeat broadcasts has again bubbled to the surface after backstage drama at M-Net's new soap The Wild that lost at least one actor due to contract conflicts.
