Elvis Blue (30), from George - his real name is Jan Hoogendyk - was just announced as the winner of the sixth season of Idols on M-Net at the end of a 90 minute live final Idols Results Show.
Elvis Blue became the winner of Idols on M-Net with quite a comfortable margin of 64% of the votes against his competitor L'loyd Cele's (28) 36% of the vote out of 2 398 962 votes cast. The sixth season of Idols saw a total of 8,05 million total votes cast over the past seven months. That is the most paid for votes ever in the history of the reality show on M-Net, and also the highest amount of votes during any Idols finale.
Universal Music is aiming for an early December release for Elvis Blue's debut album to get it out and on sale during the peak commercial period.
