SABC3's Expresso ''needs to be checked technically, it comes into homes with the sound of a stretched cassette.''

The early feedback from viewers are in for SABC3's new morning show Expresso that kicked off on Monday with technical glitches that's still continuing.

Readers of TV with Thinus like the new morning addition a lot and was quick to weight in with their thoughts, with Debbie saying ''I like watching Expresso in the mornings, it now gets me out of bed at 05:30'' but also adding: ''The sound is very bad.'' Debbie also asked for gardening tips and I can tell you Expresso will have those.

Viewers are not happy with the sound quality the past four days and take a guess at what the most irritating Expresso element is? Viewers are united in their dislike of the Expresso theme music played during the intro and during breaks.

''Expresso on SABC3 needs to be checked technically!,'' says another reader. ''It comes into homes with a sound that sounds like a stretched cassette. Is there any way you can contact them and have them do a outward bound sound check from a third-party (receiver) signal? I have been wanting a show like this, but it is very disappointing when they have so many technical glitches and their presenters are trying too hard.''

Regarding the general technical sound problems (besides the microphones that didn't work) I've heard from Expresso who tells me that engineers have been working on the sound issue since Monday and that the sound problems appears to be a problem with the conversion of the signal.
