BREAKING. Idols host Liezel van der Westhuizen channels ''a young Edith Venter'' for Sunday's show with behind the scenes photos.

You're seeing it here first.

Idols co-host Liezel van der Westhuizen (the one getting the less screen time on the M-Net reality show) is a veritable multimedia extravaganza.

Sunday's next Idols spectacular in which the Top 9 Idols contestants will perform on screen from 17:30 is recorded today and again Liezel van der Westhuizen took to Facebook to give a direct and unvarnished glimpse of what's happening behind the scenes of the hit show with wonderful and candid photos.

With the heavenly houte coutour hair that must have been created with the help of many, many bottles of hair spray depleting the ozone layer as we speak, viewers will see the fashion forward Liezel van der Westhuizen on Sunday evening looking like a young Edith Venter, here standing next to Idols contestant Sindi Nene. There's also candid photos of Idols like Adeline, Bongi and Jamie-Lee in the Idols green room, like below, and many more.

''Peace out, people!'' Idols Top 9 finalist L'Loyd shares a couch with Liezel van der Westhuizen behind the scenes of the Idols production happening today for broadcast on Sunday.

Lunch time with the crew and Idols contestants. She just looks like a young Edith Venter, but isn't really, so Liezel van der Westhuizen of course, just sat down for lunch with Idols contestants Boki and L'Loyd. She didn't cater. Note the flower and the orange table throw. This is NOT your usual TV production. Usually cast and crew eat on white plastic tables and chair with no table cloths and no flowers. Come Monday probably everyone in the biz will now be wanting to work on this show. (''They've got such good food there?'' ''Yes. And did you see? Table cloths . . .'')

Idols host ProVerb is my kind of guy. 'Cause he eats what I eat: chicken and coke. Nam-nam.

Some of the Idols guys in the green room in a hang-around moment. Actually its more ''Hurry-up and wait''. Idols is similar in production structure to most other shows - even more so - where various elements like the ''cast'' or make-up'' or camera units hang idle - sometimes for hours - until suddenly needed and then its a cacophony of intense activity when everything comes together.
