BREAKING. TopTV still on track to introduce its PVR functionality in 2011 using the current TopTV decoder.
You're reading it here first.
The rest of the press covering television started to foam at the mouth days after I broke the news RIGHT HERE at the beginning of the week about On Digital Media (ODM) having passed 120 000 TopTV decoders in the market. Having been there, done that, I can tell you that TopTV is planning to launch its PVR (personal video recorder) functionality in 2011 . . . and I can be first to tell you a little something about how that will work.
A lot of TopTV subscribers looked at their current TopTV set top boxes (STB) and noticed some ''holes'', well, let me tell you one of those ports are going to be extremely integral to the new PVR functionality. TopTV subscribers who want to get PVR functionality will not necessarily have to get a new TopTV STB. . .
