BREAKING. M-Net's massive Idols viewership in the sixth season almost rivalling what the reality show used to pull during Open Time.

You're reading it here first.

M-Net is still tight-lipped but I will exclusively spill the news: The viewership of the new sixth season of Idols on M-Net is basically almost rivalling that of when Idols used to be shown during Open Time. A massive and impressive feat since the pay broadcaster lost its uncoded signal a few years ago and with it a sizeable chunk of its potential viewers.

Insider sources are telling me M-Net is extremely happy with the sixth season of Idols after just five episodes. M-Net don't want to crow about ratings and viewership performance for the hit show just yet, but expect an announcement soon. ''The channel is still waiting to see a bit how things go but we're studying it closely. Everyone's happy,'' I'm told.
