BREAKING. Defying belief: Moronic M-Net Action ''forced'' to switch Caprica for Defying Gravity.

You're reading it here first.

It defies belief: Defying Gravity will now be replacing Caprica on M-Net Action (DStv 106) after another serious screw-up by the channel.

Having apparently never heard of something like epguides.com, the buyers and schedulers of M-Net Action went ahead and scheduled all 18 episodes of the first season, although it was obvious from the outset that the first season would consists of nine episodes, then the usual American summer break, and then the last nine.

M-Net Action, despite being told that it wouldn't be possible to broadcast episodes of a drama show that haven't even been on in America yet, didn't heed the alarm bells and went ahead - only to now make a sudden, drastic U-turn. In a moronic attempt to shift blame, M-Net Action now says that ''international scheduling of the sci-fi series Caprica has been placed on hiatus. Consequently, M-Net Action, will not be able to screen the series until October, as planned.'' Uhm . . . NO. It's called the midseason hiatus and is perfectly normal for basically every American show. Unless you work in television but don't know television.

''Caprica will resume in America in 2011, but a date has not been confirmed yet,'' says M-Net Action. Uhm, NO again. Sometimes you seriously have to wonder who's running the show, uhm, channel here. The second half of Caprica will be back in November in America. Caprica gets replaced from 17 August at 18:00 on M-Net Action by the cancelled (but good!) sci-fi series Defying Gravity about a space ship who's crew is unaware of something special onboard . . .
