BREAKING. Round table of guest judges to stay in place for sixth season of Idols on M-Net.

I knew. I knew. And I didn't tell. Sources closely connected to Idols told me weeks ago that there will NOT be a permanent new fourth judge for the sixth season of the M-Net reality show, and now the news has leaked out.

The producers wanted to keep it quiet for a little bit longer, but now the news is out that Dave Thompson who jettisoned out of South Africa last year, won't be permanently replaced as the fourth Idols judge.

Instead Mara Louw, Gareth Cliff and Randall Abrahams (photo) will be joined during the theatre round as well as later in the show which kicks off in July on M-Net, by a round-robin panel of selected guest judges similar to what has been happening during the nationwide audition rounds that already took place in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth with a last stop this Saturday in Bloemfontein.
