BREAKING. SABC1 refuses to say why Soul City premiere was pulled, saying it was ''beyond channel control''.

You're reading it here first.

SABC1 just issued a lame, half-baked response as to why the premiere episode of the 10th season of Soul City was pulled from the schedule on Monday evening at the last moment, refusing to admit that it was because of major contract issues that created massive tension and drama behind the scenes.

SABC1 says that Soul City ''couldn't be transmitted as planned due to circumstances beyond channel control'' and that ''the matter has been dealth with internally''.

SABC1 says that the broadcaster is ''glad to announce that all outstanding issues are now resolved''. According to SABC1 ''our viewers'' - who I would think deserves an explanation as to actually why this happened - ''should look forward to their favourite drama series now confirmed to start screening from Monday, 29 March in the same 20:30 timeslot.''
