Programming note. History Channel to air Madiba TV doccie by Christopher Nolan.

You're reading it here first.

I already told you last week RIGHT HERE about e.tv's Wednesday night doccie First Walk to Freedom and now The History Channel (DStv 254) also celebrates the 20th anniversary of the release of Nelson Mandela from prison with a documentary. This Thursday evening viewers can watch The Life and Times of Nelson Mandela on The History Channel at 20:30.

It will be the first time that The History Channel will be screening the intimate TV doccie that was produced in 2004 by Christopher Nolan of The Dark Knight fame. The Life and Times of Nelson Mandela runs for 1 hour and 43 minutes. The documentary features interviews with Nadine Gordimer and F.W. De KlerkAhmed Kathrada, Mac Maharaj and Tokyo Sexwale; Mandela biographers Alister Sparks, Anthony Sampson and Charlene Smith; and Mandela's friends and family.
