Mzansi Magic adds new drama series, Saints and Sinners, starting on 3 August.

Mzansi Magic (DStv 161) is adding the new 13 part drama series Saints and Sinners to the channel's schedule, starting Sunday 3 August at 20:00.

Saints and Sinners, produced by Penguin Films, and echoing themes from the channel's other drama Rockville, revolves around two families, the Khumalo's and the Moloiswa's,  in the south of Johannesburg.

Saints and Sinners stars actors like Nthati Moshesh, Tumisho Masha, Tshepo Maseko, Wassen Masemola, Sibulele Gcilitshana, Yonda Thomas, Nomphilo Gwala and S'dumo Mtshali.

"We're excited about the debut of Saint and Sinners which follows on the huge success of Rockville," says Nkateko Mabaso, the director: local interests channels at M-Net in a press statement.

(A bad statement which doesn't include the time of 20:00, spells M-Net as Mnet and says Penguin Pictures is producing this show. Penguin Pictures doesn't exist.)

"Saints and Sinners will showcase how we are connected as people through the choices we make, which affect others," says Nkateko Mabaso.

The drama series will kick off with an armed robbery that sets off "a tragic chain of events that will tear both families apart".
