Carte Blanche on M-Net is trying out the SuperSport studio in Randburg on Sunday evenings 'for the next few weeks'.

Carte Blanche - M-Net's longrunning weekly investigative programme and the pay-TV broadcaster's highest rated show - which returned three weeks ago to a studio presentation format after two years, tells TV with Thinus that the magazine show is trying something new.

For winter, the Combined Artistic Productions show which used Randlords for a Johannesburg cityscape backdrop, moved inside and as I've reported previously, is now using the SuperSport studios in Randburg.

I asked whether the Carte Blanche change back to a seated anchor behind an anchor desk is permanent.

"We're exploring some options with the SuperSport broadcast team to see if we can use the studio more regularly. It might happen for the next few weeks but depending on what works best for us we may go back to Randlords. Nothing is set in stone at this moment," I'm told.
