Programming note: 10th anniversary of 9/11 commemorated in September on National Geographic Channel with several documentaries.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the terror attack on New York on 11 September 2001, the National Geographic Channel (DStv 260) will feature a series of 9/11-related TV shows in September including Inside 9/11: The War Continues, Seconds from Disaster: 9/11, Liquid Bomb Plot, George W. Bush: The 9/11 Interview and 9/11 and The American Dream.
Liquid Bomb Plot (Sunday, 4 September at 20:00) reveals the incredible story of how police officers and intelligence operatives in the United Kingdom, America and Pakistan successfully stopped a terrorist attack, predicted to be as deadly as 9/11, just before terrorists put a plan into action.
Seconds from Disaster 9/11 (Wednesday, 7 September at 21:00) winds back the clock to that fateful morning to hear from the FAA agents who tracked the rogue airliners in the minutes before impact and the military officers and F-16 pilots tasked with stopping them.
Inside 9/11: The War Continues (Thursday, 8 September at 21:00) follows the evolution of Al Qaeda in the last ten years, as well as the emergence of key players from other terrorists groups, the numerous terror plots thwarted by officials and the deadly terror attacks that have occurred around the globe since 9/11.
9/11 and The American Dream (Friday, 9 September at 21:00) delves into highly personal, heart-rending global stories of survivors and family members who lost love ones on 9/11.
