Hooray for the green arrow! With DStv's brilliant new Series Recording option, a new TV hero is born.

Which one do you like more? The Green Arrow on the left on the Green Arrow on the right?

Justin Hartley might be playing The Green Arrow in Smallville and the dude is brilliant, but South African viewers now have a brand new ''green arrow'' TV hero: DStv's new Series Recording option.

With the push of one button - whenever you see the circular green arrow icon that looks like the one above on the right - you're DStv PVR will automatically search out and record all the relevant episodes of that season of a show. Wonderful, functional, and brilliant.

The new Series Recording recording option was introduced at the end of last week when MultiChoice launched their new (and as wonderful) DStv on Demand service. Series Recording as an option was envisioned right from the beginning when MultiChoice launched their SD PVR and HD PVR but viewers had to wait until now. Series Recording makes it possible to not have to worry about getting and recording all of the relevant episodes of a specific TV season, irrespective of when and where it's broadcast (because schedules sometimes change). With one push of Series Recording when it appears next to a show, the PVR will automatically search for, find and record the next episodes of that programme.
