Sunrise, e.tv's weekday breakfast show between 06:00 and 08:00 with Sindy Mabe and Graeme Richards, is now tracking South Africa's daily mood nationally, as well as from province to province.
Viewers can SMS MOOD to 33313 (50c/SMS) or visit http://onthegrid.mobi/ to vote for how they feel, with Sunrise showing the mood of South Africa based on the latest tally. Sunrise has created a ''Mood Map'' for South Africa, similar to the wather map, using geographical information to show, percentage wise, whether the nine provinces and South Africa overall are feeling ''happy'' or ''sad'' for instance.
Sunrise's Mood Map is updated with the latest information and is shown after every weather report on weedays. ''Sunrise is always looking at being innovative by introducing new technologies that will make the show more interactive,'' says executive producer Nicholas Maphopa. ''The Mood Map can gauge viewers' mood on topics covered in the show, the weather, or issues happening in their daily lives.''
