The male soap stars Stefan Ludick and Reynardt Hugo agreed to drop trou and go naked to show the world their butts; the two soap stars of Binneland on kykNET (DStv 144) will appear without clothes in the new annual Marie Claire Naked Issue.

Atop a high rise in Sandton Stefan Ludik - who who starred in Egoli - posted photos this week of himself and co-star Reynardt Hugo starkers.

Sources tell me both the soap stars stripped to be photographed for the annual Marie Claire Naked Issue.

Stefan Ludick said he's going "naked for a day".

"Sometimes the work requires us to be a doctor, MC, singer, or just being naked for a day for a good cause - believe it or not. Will tell more later."

The public saw Stefan Ludick bare all before in 2003 when he was the first contestant to represent Namibia in the first season of Big Brother Africa. Controversy also erupted in 2008 over his nearly nude and provocative music video "Black Girl, White Boy".

A naked Graeme Richards (above, and the entirety of him in the magazine) and Katlego Maboe in the buff as SABC3 Expresso presenters; Idols presenter ProVerb and Boity Thulo both showing butt; MasterChef SA faces Kamini Pather and celebrity chef Peter Joffe-Wood ...

... these are just a few of several South African telenalities who've dropped their clothes and went stark naked for magazine Marie Claire's 2014 Naked issue.

The Marie Claire March issue on sale from this coming Monday, sees 36 known South African faces getting naked as part of a campaign to raise money for The Lunchbox Fund to help feed hungry children.

On the cover, heavily pregnant and nude Lee-Ann Liebenberg does a Demi, showing her baby bump.

Other TV faces who were not shy about showing skin include Zakeeya Patel, the winner of Strictly Come Dancing South Africa on SABC3 in 2013 as well as comedian Marc Lottering who was a co-presenter on the show.

MTV Base presenter Nomuzi Mabena, gets naked, as does comedian and talk show host Anne Hirsch daring to bare a bit of a nipple.

Others in the issue who got their kit off in Marie Claire include a dozen local musicians, radionalities, actresses Vanessa Haywood and Catriona Andrew, ballerina Adele Blank and surfer Chris Bertish.

"Twelve million South African kids go to school hungry," says Marie Claire editor, Aspasia Karras. The Marie Claire Naked issue aims to raise awareness and support for hungry children in the country and will donate money to The Lunchbox Fund as part of the Naked campaign. [www.thelunchboxfund.org]

Marie Claire will donate money to The Lunchbox Fund as readers who buy the magazine post "selfies" (not naked ones) with their magazine and the hashtag #MCNaked.

Marc Lottering on Wednesday evening at the glamarama launch of Marie Claire's Naked issue at Cape Town's trendy Mondiall at the V&A Waterfront where the botoxed and the beautiful showed up, said they were offered muffins as they sat naked during the photo shoot.

"You start relaxing when a complete stranger come up to you and starts rubbing you with oil," he joked.

"So many children are going hungry," says Lee-Ann Liebenberg. "I never realised that something as small as a peanut-butter sandwich can change a child's life. Feeding children at school encourages them to stay in school".
