BREAKING. M-Net apologizes for botching Monday's Emmy broadcast, will now rebroadcast it on Tuesday on M-Net Movies 1 at 19:00.

You're reading it here first.

Of course if you've watched the recorded version of the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards that went out Monday night on M-Net (luckily I stayed up and watched the live HD broadcast on M-Net HD) you will know that M-Net horribly botched the annual Hollywood ceremony honouring the best of America television.

Now M-Net is trying again. M-Net ''as a result of technical errors'' will now rebroadcast the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Tuesday, September 7 on M-Net Movies 1 (DStv 103) at 19:00.

''Even though the show, which is delivered in high definition played out perfectly on M-Net HD and the programme was converted to a standard definition format for M-Net, a bug slipped in on a router at the M-Net playout facility,'' explains the pay broadcaster.

''M-Net rectified the problem soon after the hiccups had started, but understandably viewers were frustrated with the interruptions. ''M-Net always brings its viewers awards ceremonies shortly after the live international broadcast and will take extra precautions in future to eradicate problems such as these.''

TAKE A LOOK. ''Hey Tina, come join our Glee club.'' The wonderful opening number of the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

You are going to love the opening number of the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards that's broadcast in South Africa tonight at 21:30 on M-Net (DStv 101) and in high definition (HD) on M-Net HD (DStv 170).

Here is the clip of how it all starts out with Emmy host Jimmy Fallon's opening sketch. It involves the  Bruce Springsteen song ''Born to Run'', the cast of Glee as well as other buzzmaking Hollywood TV stars. Trust me: You do NOT want to miss this great TV moment.

BREAKING. Why you will simply LOVE the introduction and Glee-inspired opening number of the 62nd Emmy Awards this evening on M-Net.

I stayed up and watched the live broadcast of the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in high definition (HD) on M-Net HD and I can promise you that you're simply going to love this year's 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards and especially the introduction and the Glee-inspired opening number.

Besides a wonderful stage and set infused with bright TV test colour patterns, and a wonderful and well-done audio-visual screen theme during this year's ceremony, viewers will enjoy the opening song number kicking off the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony tonight at 21:30 on M-Net (DStv 101) and M-Net HD (DStv 170).

I won't spoil anything yet for South African viewers who want to watch it this evening, but the inspired opening number is amazing with this year's Emmy host Jimmy Fallon, joined by Betty White, the stars from the cast of Glee including Lea Michele, Jane Lynch complete in red track suit, Amber Riley, Corey Monteith and Chris Colfer, American reality star Kate Gosselin, Jon Hamm of Mad Men and Joe McHale of Community.

Jewel also does a wonderful, pitch perfect and stirring ''Im Memoriam'' segment, and I promise you there's wonderful sight-gags and jokes aplenty this year in the annual Hollywood ceremony honouring the best in America television.

M-Net's Emmy awesomeness: how the pay broadcaster constantly keeps picking the best TV shows first.

Its no mean feat. Pay broadcaster M-Net is once again the South African broadcaster with the most TV shows nominated for Emmy awards for the upcoming 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards taking place on 29 August in the Kodak Theatre, Los Angeles.

Not only is and does M-Net remain by far the superior broadcaster in South Africa when it comes to getting and broadcasting Emmy nominated, as well as Emmy award-winning, shows first - but the pay broadcaster - compared to other countries, also shows more Emmy award-winners in total. And get this: M-Net constantly negotiates, buys and then broadcast multiple TV shows even before they start to rake in the Emmy nominations and wins, for instance Glee and The Pacific - this year's two top Emmy nominated shows.

How on earth does M-Net do this? Should M-Net programme buyers be kept away from the poker tables? How does the pay broadcaster manage this stellar, yet uncanny  track record of not just getting TV shows quickly, but getting the best ones even before they're eventually sanctified by Emmy praise as the best? Only I have the answers . . . and whether winning Emmys are really important.

BREAKING. M-Net as SA broadcaster with the most Emmy nominated shows: ''We're delighted that our hit shows once again dominated.''

You're reading it here first.

I have the first and exclusive reaction from M-Net on the just-announced Emmy nominations for the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards taking place on 29 August in the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles that will be going out on M-Net on 30 August.

Once again the South African pay broadcaster has the most shows nominated for Emmy awards this year. ''M-Net's mission is to bring our viewers the best international television programming first and we are delighted that our hit shows once again dominated when the nominations for the 62th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced,'' says the broadcaster.

''It proves that M-Net takes 'magic to the max', as our most recent advertising campaign proclaims. We would also like to congratulate the creators and international distributors of these shows and will keep our fingers crossed for each one of them.''

BREAKING. The 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards goes ''Starry Starry Night'' this year.

The theme of this year's 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be ''Starry Starry Night''.

M-Net is set to broadcast the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards live at 03:00 on Monday, 30 August and again in primetime later on that day (it goes out in America on Sunday night, 29 August) as a new deal has already been signed with the international distributor, Fireworks International.

I asked M-Net last week whether the pay broadcaster will also show the one hour pre Emmy special, the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet Special hosted by Billy Bush, Maria Menounos and Nate Berkus but M-Net couldn't give me an answer yet.

Fireworks International is distributing the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards to 150 territories around the world this year. ''The global reach of this event special continues to grow, as witnessed by the new and ongoing commitments of such a large number of broadcasters internationally," says Saralo MacGregor, executive vice president of worldwide distribution at Fireworks International.
