Canal+ appoints Thomas Follin as Canal+ Africa chief diversification officer

Canal+ has appointed Thomas Follin as Canal+ Africa chief diversification officer from November 2025, who will be in charge of leading Canal+'s overall diversification strategy across Africa, including MultiChoice.

Thomas Follin will report to David Mignot as Canal+ Africa CEO.

Thomas Follin has been Canal+'s chief transformation, data and AI officer since May 2023, when he joined the company.

He is a graduate of the master's programme in telecommunications and new media at the Université Paris Dauphine–PSL and began his career in 2002 at the M6 Group as a strategic mission manager. 

In 2008, he joined M6’s digital division as director of new media channels. In 2016, he was appointed deputy managing director of the M6 Group, in charge of 6play and the distribution of audiovisual channels and services, and became a member of the executive committee. 

From September 2019 to March 2023 he was managing director of SALTO.
