Earlier this month Skyworth South Africa held a so-called "Megatech Global Tour" event in Johannesburg where it unveiled its first 100-inch 4K QLED TV set.
Skyworth SA only told Johannesburg media about it and didn't bother to communicate with any other media about it.
Besides the complete non-communication beforehand from its Republic PR agency about the upcoming Skyworth SA event, neither Skyworth SA nor Republic PR bothered to send any press release or media materials afterwards.
It's not known what exactly happened or what Skyworth SA said or did at its so-called "Megatech Global Tour" event.
At its "Megatech Global Tour" event Skyworth also announced and unveiled other appliances like fridges, washing machines and a coffee table with speakers.
Skyworth SA claims that the 100-inch QLED set, the SUF958P, is the largest QLED TV available in South Africa.
The 4K set has a 120Hz refresh rate with Flicker Free-technology, as well as an "eye protection"-mode for long-watching sessions like gaming.
In a prepared quote, Rita Mo, Skyworth South Africa general manager, says "We can say with confidence that our new products will not only bring excellent features but will also offer an experience that will meet and exceed all customer expectations".
"Skyworth will continue to innovate in the technology realm, meeting and exceeding the demands of out customers."
