The South African public broadcaster has appointed Sibusiso Gumbi as its new head of marketing.
Sibusiso Gumbi joined the SABC's internship programme in 2013 after he was awarded a bursary by the SABC in 2008.
Gumbi’s journey at the SABC started with a bursary awarded to him in 2008 which was followed by an internship programme in 2013.
He's held various positions within the SABC over the years, including Motsweding FM events coordinator, and as marketing manager and acting station manager of Motsweding FM from 2019 to 2021.
In 2021, he was appointed as manager of radio marketing.
Sibusiso Gumbi has a diploma in marketing management, bachelor of business administration (BBA) in marketing management, and bachelor of philosophy (BPhil) honours in marketing management all obtained from the IMM Graduate School.
