Showmax renews Tali mockumentary for season 3 as a now cash-strapped kugel fights for a place in preschool.

It won't be called "Tali's Toddler Diary" but MultiChoice's video streaming service has renewed its mockumentary series from Sketchbook Studios with Julia Anastasopoulos for a third season which will be titled Tali's Joburg Diary, with filming which started this week and with the season which will debut on Showmax in November.

After creating chaos in Cape Town, Julia Anastasopoulos's character of Tali - now the mom of a toddler - is returning to her roots as a Johannesburg kugel, this time battling the Hyde Park pram brigade to get her adorable little Jayden a place in the best preschool, Little Angels Hyde Park.

While competing to be Class Mom, Tali battles the reigning Little Angels' Class mom known as "Monique the Beak", portrayed by Sharon Spiegel Wagner.

Tali has also been forced to move back in with her parents. Following the baby years done during Covid-19 lockdown, her husband Darren's (Anton Taylor) property business Goldprop has fallen on hard times and Tali's credit cards are bouncing.

Also back are Glen Biderman-Pam as Rael Rosen, with Coconut Kelz who is giving Tali a "Joburg makeover" this season.

Julia Anastasopoulos says "I am so excited to dive back into the world of Tali. Sketchbook is so very proud of this project and it has been so wonderful to get the clan back together again this year".

"We’ve already been in stitches on set watching some of the scenes unfold and I think this season is going to be sensational."

Nomsa Philiso, MultiChoice's head of programming, says "I think we all need a laugh after the past few years, so we can't wait to have Tali back on Showmax in November 2022".

"It's going to be the same Tali, with a very different bank balance, in a very different Joburg. Tighten your belt and sharpen those nails. Let the battle for Class Mom begin."
