It's a document that runs to 12 pages - the Launch List of the complete customised content catalogue that Disney's video streaming service Disney+ will have when it launches in South Africa on 18 May.
Christine Service, The Walt Disney Company Africa senior vice president and general manager, on Thursday afternoon anchored a virtual media presentation for the launch of Disney+ in South Africa.
She mentioned that the Disney+ catalogue will encompass 1 000 films and 1500 series, including 200 original series at launch in South Africa.
Christine Service said the aim is to produce 60 local productions from across Europe as well as Africa by 2024 which will be available in Disney+.
"I am confident that Disney+ will become a favourite streaming service in South Africa," she said.
