The Bachelor SA star Marc Buckner is asking people to please pray for his mom, Jenny Buckner, who is ill but stable in hospital.
The Cape Town-based model, influencer and investor said that his mom needs as much support as possible but didn't specify what is wrong.
He referenced ventilators and said that he could never have imagined that his mom, also living in Cape Town, would get to that situation.
His mom made an appearance during the second season of The Bachelor SA on M-Net (DStv 101) when she met the final two women, Marisia van Wyk and Bridget Marshall, and also cooked with her son where she shared her opinion of the various women with him.
"This has opened my eyes in many ways & I feel even more for all that have or are going through this. My mom is stable at the moment & I am praying for more signs of healing."
While South Africa has exited a third wave of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, there are fears of a possible fourth Covid wave hitting the country in December this year.
The South African government and the medical fraternity is imploring people to please get a Covid-19 vaccination and to prevent infection, death and hospitalisation from the disease.
