Actress Sindi Buthelezi (32) known for her role as Zinhle in Generations has died.

Actress Sindi Buthelezi known for her role as Zinhle Mathe in SABC1's Generations has died. She was 32.

The cause of Sindi Buthelezi's death is not yet known and her sister Nonhlanhla Sikhakhane confirmed her death.

Born and raised in Ratanda on the East Rand in Gauteng, Sindi Buthelezi started her acting career at a local community hall.

Unable to afford drama studies at AFDA she studied towards a PR qualification at the University of Johannesburg and left the PR industry after two years, getting a role in a short film entitled Babe Come Duze on Mzansi Magic (DStv 161).

She joined Generations in 2013. In 2014 Sindi Buthelezi was picked up by SABC1's Soul City for the role of Ntombi and in 2016 she appeared in e.tv's telenovela Ashes to Ashes as Patience Khumalo. She also played a reporter in Mzansi Magic's Isibaya.
