The veteran South African actor Allen Booi has died.
The Johannesburg acting agency Trinity Management on Monday announced the death of Allen Booi, saying "It’s of great sadness to announce that actor Allen Booi passed on this morning at his Johannesburg house. His family will issue a statement and further information".
The cause of death is not yet know.
Allen Booi had roles in TV series like Generations, Igazi, Soul City, Backstage, Zone 14, 90 Plein Street, Tsha Tsha, Intsika, Looking for Love, After Nine, Muvhango, Zero Tolerance, Isidingo, and Intersexions.
In a statement the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise Businesses Council (SMME Council) said that it "would like to extend condolences to the family and the entire entertainment industry. He was a giant and our shining light. Words cannot describe how much we’ve lost as a country in just one month".
