American media are reporting that the Glee-star Naya Rivera is dead after her body has been found days after her drowning in California's Lake Piru. Naya Rivera was 33.
The Glee-star Naya Rivera went missing last week after she went on a boat excursion on Wednesday with her 4-year old son on Lake Piru on California. Her little boy was found alone on the boat in the lake on Wednesday afternoon.
Ventura County's sheriff's department launched a search with helicopters and dive teams for Naya Rivera, best known for her role as Santana Lopez on FOX's Glee, who rented a boat on Wednesday afternoon.
Another person found the boat with just the 4-year old boy inside who said that he and his mom had been swimming.
Naya Rivera's son said that his mom jumped into the water but didn't resurface.
Today co-incidentally marks the 7-year anniversary of the death of fellow Glee-star Cory Monteith who died on 13 July 2013 when he took heroin and alcohol.
Ventura County officials on Monday confirmed that Naya Rivera's body was recovered from the lake.
