Coronavirus: eNCA anchor Jane Dutton self-quarantines back in South Africa after return from United States holiday.

The eNCA (DStv 403) anchor Jane Dutton has "self-quarantined" following a vacation to the United States, the South African TV news channel said on Monday.

eNCA said it took "precautionary measures" with Jane Dutton to isolate herself given the spread of the Covid-19 novel coronavirus in South Africa.

Jane Dutton anchoring The South African Morning on eNCA has been on leave and off-air for the past two weeks.

"The eNCA anchor will present herself for testing and remain off-air until the stipulated self-quarantine period has passed, and she has received a clean bill of health," says eNCA.

By Monday there were 61 coronavirus cases in South Africa.

Earlier on Monday afternoon TVwithThinus asked e.tv whether eNCA has implemented any different protocols inside the offices and studio of the TV news channel to limit staff interaction and on-site work but e.tv publicists didn't respond by the time of publication of this report.
