SABC2's Afrikaans weekday soap 7de Laan is turning 20 years old and is looking for two new character to join the series for which it is doing an open casting call.
Two new actors - that could be anybody - can join the Danie Odendaal Productions soap that will be celebrating its 20th anniversary on 4 April 2020.
Anybody interested on acting on the show can send a 1-minute audition video in Afrikaans or English to actorsearch@sewendelaan.co.za.
That must be send together with contact details and what the biz calls a "headshot": two photographs of yourself of which one must be a head-and-shoulders photo, and the other a full length photo so that the producers can see how you look. A panel will review all of the applications.
Applications are open to people between the age of 15 and 60 and any race and gender, with applications that close on Friday 20 March 2020.
Candidates who are successful in the screening process will be contacted for a second round of in-person auditions that will be taking place between 23 March and 27 April 2020.
While anybody living anywhere in South Africa can apply and send in an audition video, the weekday soap is produced and filmed in Johannesburg so the two people who eventually get the roles will have to move to this city at their own cost if they're not already staying there.
