Cell C black is simplifying its streaming service subscription plans to black TV Premium and black TV Access.
Cell C is simplifying the subscription plans of its confusing Cell C black streaming service and is structuring it into an inclusive black TV Premium and a limited and cheaper black TV Access.
It'snot yet known when these new packages will replace the exciting offerings and how it will affect exciting subscribers to Cell C's subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service.
black TV Premium as the more expensive package will cost R99 per month and will give access to 40 linear TV channels, including series, live sport, kids' entertainment, as well as series-on-demand.
black TV Access as the cheaper but more limited package will cost R69 per month with only 20 linear TV channels and more focused on African entertainment without the international TV channels and will include channels like CNBC Africa, Trace Sport Stars, CBS Reality and the Africa Movie Channel. black TV Access will include content ranging from telenovelas and African movies, series and kids' entertainment.
Cell C black users will still be able to access content from FOX Networks Group with the FOX+ and National Geographic+ on-demand content that will be available at R69 per month. With the FOX+ and NatGeo+ bundle viewers can binge-watch shows ranging from The Walking Dead and Empire to documentaries.
black Movies offer the latest films off their cinema window run for rent at R25 per movie.
Last month Cell C revealed that its black video streaming service gobbled up another R524 million for another year in TV channels and content licensing costs.
Cell C black competes with The MultiChoice Group's Showmax and DStv Now, Netflix South Africa, Amazon Prime Video, along with a litany of other services like Acorn TV, TV2GO, and even PCCW Media giving it a second try after ONTAPtv, having launched Viu with some local SABC content.
