e.tv is adding a new weekly talk gaggle TV show, Hashtags to eExtra (Openview 105 / DStv 195) from Saturday, 2 March at 16:00 aimed at millennial viewers.
Similar in style to Trending on 3 on SABC3 and Show Me Love on Moja Love, the table talk with feature a panel comprising of actress Sophie Lichaba, radio personality Mantsoe Pout, celebrity publicist Jarred Doyle and a beauty expert Francois Louw.
Hashtags is done by Weldun Media in partnership with Avanti Communications. There will initially be 26 episodes of the show that will revolve around talking and discussing various lifestyle and social topics.
Juvais Dunn, co-executive producer and managing director at Weldun Media says the panellists "bring their unique blend of personalities, humour and insider knowledge to various topics that affect millennials".
"After looking at what is currently on offer in the TV market space, we felt that there is a gap for a talk show that addresses real issues faced by millennials, whilst giving Africa a voice to the rest of the world. We have always been passionate about opening up the industry, so choosing talent for the show was very strategic, says Juvais Dunn.
Kgosana Monchusi, co-executive producer and creative director at Weldun Media says "content will be rooted in the untapped African continent by engaging with Africans about topics that are relevant to them".
Hashtags will repeat on Sundays at 10:45 and Mondays at 08:30 on eExtra.
