Disney on Wednesday announced that it has renewed the new kids animation series, Star Wars: Resistance, seen on Disney XD (DStv 304) for a second season that will start in autumn of this year.
While the second season is in development, Disney has not given any premiere date.
The last few episodes of the first season of Star Wars: Resistance resumes on 13 January in the United States and will then be shown on Disney XD in South Africa and Africa.
Star Wars: Resistance is set before the events of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and revolves around the young pilot Kaz who's recruited to spy on the growing threat of the First Order.
Also on Wednesday together with the renewal news, Disney dropped a first season midseason trailer for Star Wars: Resistance containing new scenes from the last few upcoming new episodes.
