Cell C slashing subscription price for its premium Binge Elite on its black streaming service by 80% to R89 per month.

Cell C has decided to slash the subscription price for its premium Binge Elite on its Cell C black video streaming service by 80% to R89 per month for consumers who sign up between 23 November and the end of the year.

The catch is that people have to subscribe for a year and a payment default or a deregister after sign-up will see a customer being billed for the full R499 per month thereafter.

From Black Friday on 23 November, Cell C black Binge Elite - its top tier - will be available at R89 per month instead of the usual R449. Binge Elite gives access to all content on Cell C black, except for movie rentals.

The R89 offer will be valid for a 12 month period.

"This is by far one of our biggest discounts ever, we wanted to make sure that our customers do not only get the best deal on the biggest shopping day of the year but enjoy a discounted deal until the end of this year," says Precious Nkabinde, black PR manager.

"We took into account the fact that consumers have had a tight spending year, given the recent fuel and food hikes. We want to make sure that everyone has affordable access to premium entertainment during these holidays."
