CBS Reality (DStv 132 / Cell C black 207) in the United Kingdom has renewed the crime documentary series, Written in Blood and Evidence of Evil.
CBS Reality, owned by AMC Networks International UK and CBS Studios International, renewed both original series for a further season.
Written in Blood, produced by Endemol Shine North, follows author Simon Toyne as he meets 6 further popular crime fiction writers to discuss the influence true crime has had on their writing in 6 new hour long episodes.
Episodes will tackle a different criminal case using reconstruction and real-life footage, with authors including Mason Cross (the Carter Blake series), Sophie Hannah (writer of the Hercule Poirot novel The Mystery of Three Quarters) and Peter Robinson (the Inspector Banks novels).
Evidence of Evil explores the advances in technology that have transformed detective work through notable cases such as the murder of EastEnders actress Gemma McCluskie. The series is produced by Peninsula Television.
