A new season of the emotainment Xitonga TV talk show, Vusaseki will start on SABC2 on Tuesday 17 July at 20:30, this time with Timiya Mhlari as the new presenter as the South African public broadcaster works at increasing the Tsonga language content on the SABC.

"Timiya is quite a seasoned broadcaster and her command of the language makes her a perfect fit for this show. One of our key pillars talks to identity and it is programmes like Vusaseki will assist in engaging the viewers on cultural issues in the modern South Africa," says SABC2.

Timiya Mhlari (36) hails from Elim, a small village in Makhado, in the Limpopo province and started her TV career in 2002 as a presenter on SABC2's educational programme, Take 5.

Timiya can converse in all 11 South African languages and speaks one Zimbabwean language.
