kykNET contracts Tim du Plessis in a new position as head of current affairs to broaden the TV channel's actuality content offering.

The Afrikaans veteran news man Tim du Plessis has been contracted to help M-Net's Afrikaans language channel kykNET (DStv 144) to broaden its actuality and current affairs content offering.

Tim du Plessis' news title is kykNET's head of current affairs.

The well-known print editor was the head of Media24's Afrikaans newspapers.

kykNET tells me that the general entertainment Afrikaans language channel which is supplied by M-Net to MultiChoice's DStv satellite pay-TV platform, has a need for more news and current affairs content.

"The channel already offers full TV news bulletins [eNuus], but is looking at possibilities around broadening the current affairs content. kykNET contracted Tim du Plessis, the news journalist and former editor at Media24 to help in this regard".
