Jay Tallon has been appointed as senior vice president for high growth markets for the Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMA) at BBC Worldwide.
BBC Worldwide runs the channels such as BBC Entertainment, BBC Knowledge, BBC Lifestyle and CBeebies on MultiChoice's DStv platform in South Africa and Africa and will soon start to roll out channels such as BBC First and BBC Brit globally.
Jay Tallon is currently the head of business and legal affairs for the CEMA region at BBC Worldwide.
In her new position she will report to Ian McDonough, the executive vice president for the CEMA region at BBC Worldwide. Joel Churcher was just appointed as the new vice president and general manager for Africa.
Jay Tallon will be based in London and be responsible for leading the sales and affiliate strategy across all BBC Worldwide businesses in high growth CEMA markets and work with regional vice presidents to maximise in-market opportunities and also helping to develop new business.
