The Walking Dead to start and roll out episodes of the new upcoming 4th season on FOX in South Africa just 24 hours after America.

The brand-new 4th season of the international hit zombie drama The Walking Dead will start on 14 October in South Africa on FOX (DStv 125 / TopTV 180) and roll out new episodes 24 hours after an episode has been broadcast in the United States.

This further closing of the broadcasting gap for the 4th season of The Walking Dead marks the smallest window of lag time for the show yet which unspooled episodes of the previous three seasons within days on FOX in South Africa.

With the FOX channel which was added to MultiChoice's DStv platform, it also marks the first time that South African viewers with DStv will be able to watch brand-new episodes of The Walking Dead in high definition (HD).

The Walking Dead's 4th season will start on FOX in South Africa on 14 October at 22:00 (South African time) with Fox International Channels (FIC) saying that it remains committed "to broadcast the series as near to the United States premiere as possible".

The 4th season's 16 episodes of The Walking Dead will once again in two parts, with the first 8 episodes of the zombie drama starting on 14 October, and the second 8 episodes returning in February 2014.

The 4th season of The Walking Dead will introduce new characters such as Bob Stookie (Lawrence Gilliard Jr.) as the group of human survivors living inside the prison walls combat new dangers and zombies.
