Special Investigating Unit (SIU) hands its reports on the SABC to president Jacob Zuma; high-profile former SABC executives could face charges.

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has handed its report on the South African public broadcaster to president Jacob Zuma.

The SIU investigated the beleaguered SABC, looking at allegations of corruption, mismanagement, fraudulent deals and contracts and irregular expenditure.

Six former SABC high-profile executives at the struggling public broadcaster could face criminal charges and civil claims, whilst hundreds of SABC personnel could face disciplinary action due to the contents of the report which has not yet been publicly released.
